The Case of Corridaamiga in an Australian University

“I feel very grateful when I realize that good people have come into my life and that they want good for those who are around them. This work, the whole idea, is very beautiful, to help people feel better and to relate better and together to transform the world”

Roberta Andreolli, a Brazilian post graduate student at Victoria University in Sydney / Australia, presented Corrida Amiga as a case study in Business Ethics and Sustainability. The main objective of the course is to evaluate the sustainability agenda and, in this context, also to discuss the role of social movements.

Roberta’s work presented the history of our young initiative, which unites health, environment and social aspects. She pointed out that inactivity is a worldwide problem. And, in addition, there are also emotional illnesses that may be due to lack of physical activity. In connection with this, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD, 2011) states that the consumption of medications is increasing exponentially.

Sustainability

Regarding the concept of sustainability, Roberta cites the NGO’s relationship with a new lifestyle, which is also more friendly to environmental and economic issues. Making more conscious choices and using natural resources responsibly can improve the environment and save money.

Roberta, Corrida Amiga is very grateful for the affection and for spreading our initiative around the world!
